Port Perry Printing went up 2-1 at the end of the first. There was some excellent goal tending by Kyle Simms for Remax and Mark Ward of Muskies to keep the game so close. Muskies scoring Tom Durwaru and Jeff Jamieson both unassisted. Remax scoring Ricky Olaisen unassisted. Runner-up with 44.5 points was Jay Timmons Davids Hairstyling - 6 Kinsmen - 0 Mike Leach led the way with 3 goals for Davids Hairstyling to hand Kinsmen a 6-0 defeat. Spectators are welcome on both days. In other news, Port Perry had teams travel to Oshawa Golf Club for the Governor Generals' and to Uxbridge for the Silver Tankard. In the second 'B' Division semi- final Port Perry IGA earned the right to face Bowmanville KOOL in the 'B' Championship by outscoring Port Perry Consumers Gas 4-2. Goal scorers for IGA were Steve Arm- strong, Bobby Orr, and Chris Lavereau (2). Assists went to Mike Griffin (2), and Eric Douma. Con- sumer Gas goals were scored by Chris Menzies and Daryl Bradt with assists going to Allan Honey and Neil Mark. Best Effort winners were IGA's Eric Douma and Con- sumer"s Derek Slack. Peterborough St. James defeated Newcastle Nichols Motors 2-1 to ad- vance to the 'A' Championship against Oshawa Monsignor Coffey. Best Effort winners were Kelly O'rourke for Peterborough and Brent MacKay for Nichols Motors. In the 'B' Championship game, Bowmanville KOOL skated to a 7-1 win over Port Perry IGA. IGA's goal was scored by Gerry Douma assisted by Mike Toye. Best Effort trophies were presented to Eric Douma of IGA and Peter Moorcroft of Bowmanville. Peterborough St. James put up a good effort against Oshawa Mon- signor Coffey in the 'A' Champion- ship game. The swift skating by the Oshawa team made them pull away in the second period, however, and won the game 6-3.
