Settlement House has been invited to the Home Show to contribute a "model room design," one of six room designs that will be judged for an award on the first day of the Show at the Toronto International Centre. Tom and Daphne Mitchell, owners of Settlement House, say they were delighted to be asked to contribute a model room design to this show. The family room, which will be on display was designed by Tom and Daphne, and employees Roberta Baird and Lindsay Bowman. The colour scheme for the room is blue and rust, and features tradi- tional elements such as a camel- back sofa with two co-ordinated wing chairs. Pine and oak fur- nishing add accents to the design as well as several pieces of contem- porary folk art. All of the fur- nishings in this room are Canadian.
