He is survived by his beloved wife Greta *'Pat" Relley and three loving daughters by his first wife Julia Jones, who predeceased him (1965), fondly remembered by his daughters and their husbands Janet and Ben Prentice of Pickering, Jean and Carl Prentice of Action and Sandra and David McArthur of Whitby. Happily remembered as 'Poppa' by his seven grandchildren John and Amy Prentice, Julie, Sarah and Annette Prentice, Jef- frey and Darryl McArthur. Also surviv- ed by two brothers and one sister and their spouses, Bill and Marion Tristram, Dorothy and Wes Brown, Tom and Mary Tristram and nine nephews and nieces. John taught carpentry and woodworking at Central Peel and North Park Secon- dary School in Brampton. He will be remembered by family and friends as a very compassionate person with a light sense of humour and for his kindly teas- ing. Following cremation in accordance with John's wish, friends are invited to a Memorial Service In Grace United Church, 156 Main Street North, Bramp- ton at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, March 3rd, 1986.
