The five Cartwright - Central Public School contestants were: Jennifer Fletcher, Sheri Masterson, Kendra Reddy, Susan Kyte and Chris Chorostecki -- and all the students spoke exceptional ly well. Ralph and Leona Sadler of Nestleton, enjoyed a few days visiting with their daughter and son in-law and family lan and Gloria Scott, Charles and Jennifer of Corbyville. Mrs. Minnie Fisher, Caesarea, entertained Port Perry friends on Tuesday. Those present were: Leona Stanton, Marguerite Lewis and Win Philp. A lovely luncheon was enjoyed at the noon hour follow- ed by an interesting game of bridge during the afternoon. A fine day of visiting! Mrs. Neta Fish, Nestleton, was an over-night guest'With Mrs. Heather Munroe of Sonya during the week. Lawrence and Gwen Malcolm, Nestleton, were Friday supper guests of daughter Gail, Port Perry, and Saturday guests of son David, Joanna and family, Nestleton to celebrate their birthdays. Grant and Merna Cawker, Oshawa, were Saturday dinner guests with his parents at the Scugog Point Road farm. The Jim Cawkers and the Sam Cawkers were afternoon tea guests with the Robt. Cawkers and family of Scugog Island on Thursday last. Glad to see Jim able to be out enjoying life once more. Lastly, to round up the fami- ly visits Sam and Mabel spent Sun- day in Toronto. They were supper guests with Chas. and Nell and son Professor Ken Cawker of London -- later visiting with Sylvia, Chandre &nd Jason at their-home an winding up with an evening visit with Ralph Cawker, Diane Riccio and Jake with more refreshments. Quite a day! Allan Mairs of Nestleton, who has been in hospital for some weeks is now a resident of Daheim Nursing Home on Reach Road in Uxbridge. Nestleton United saw Ralph and Leona Sadler greeting at the door. Carol Mairs, Dwight and Arlene Davis assisted with the Nursery. Caesarea Card Night Popular A fine evening of cards last Wednesday evening at the Caesarea Centre once again and the results are: First prize went to Henry Visser with 81. A dedicated group! Caesarea Community Church Rev. Charles Clarke, Port Perry, conducted the Sunday morning Ser- vice with Daniel Pugh Jr., reading the Scripture. Rev. Dr. W.H. Crawford took as his text Mark 10 and his sermon topic "Personal Contact" explaining where the blind man cried out to Jesus. He listened and met his needs. A very good at- tendance. Kathleen Watt played for the hymns. The Sunshine Club under the direction of Jacqueline McDer- mott has three groups organized and meeting in the new Hall. Assisting are Owen and Trix Band- stra and Jason Parson. Christening Ceremony Richard and Janice MacKenzie, Claire and Leslie, Nestleton, were in Toronto for Sunday morning Service attending the Christening of brother Wayne and Marilyn MacKenzie's son Christopher, A very impressive religious service! Following the ceremony a family gathering was held at the parents home. A lovely buffet luncheon was enjoyed by 27 relatives present for this special occasion. Nestleton Presbyterian Church Student Susan Swain spoke on Sunday morning at the Presbyterian Church, Psalm 19 and Scripture Matthew 25 were read. Susan used the Parable of a good Steward entitled "Good Steward in Daily Christian Living." Two solos -- with recorded backgrounds -- a real treat when Hiram Joseph sang two numbers- 'I'd Rather Believe in You Lord" and 'Oh, What a Mo- ment." Shirley Scott- organist. Ho- ly Communion will be observed Sun- day, March 23. Winnifred Davison and Aenne Vanderheul have just come back from a most enjoyable holiday at Daytona Beach, Florida. Four weeks soaking up the lovely sun- shine. We welcome them back! Evening UCW Unit Meets The group met at the home of Carol Mairs, Wednesday, February 26th with the new Unit Leader Kay Notman in charge. Inga Davis prepared the worship. The treasurer's report showed a very healthy balance. During business, members were advised of the Oshawa Presbyterial meeting to be held in Trinity United Church in Bowmanville on March 18. Leader Kay gave an interesting reading describing women of the Bible, which will be a part of the message re- the play for the World Day of Prayer on 7th of March at 2 p.m. in Nestleton Church. Business closed and Yvonne Priebe presented a Trivial Pursuit type of game on the Bible, which proved interesting. Carol- our hostess- served a delightful lunch and a time of sociability was enjoyed.
