Pot-luck concert went well at Myrtle The Christmas-New Year season has past and Myrtle Community has had its share of festivities. Great family gatherings were evident. In- creased attendance at the church doings from the very successful Christmas pot-luck and concert put on by the Sunday School under Bet- ty Manuel and Margaret Stevens to the Christmas Eve carol service. The church decorations were splen- did and we enjoyed them for three weeks for which we thank Mary Housego. The music by Jean Stachow added a dimension we could not do without and altogether the season was a success. The UCW will hold its January meeting on the 14th at 9:30 in the morning at the home of Jean Stachow. . On the 15th of January at 1:30 in the afternoon under the convenor- ship of Laural Hamer of Myrtle, Dr. ~ Pat Kerr will speak on Holistic Medicine at the Brooklin Women's Institute in the Community Hall, Brooklin. This will be an hour of con- suming interest as Dr. Kerr will show you things you don't know about yourself, about your body and its reactions. Irvine Publicity The Senior Citizens had their first meeting of 1986 on Wednesay, January 8th opened by the Presi- "dent with a good crowd. We had three new members and one visitor. After the singing of OO Canada, general business was in order after which we were entertained by Louise Hartley and her friends. They were really fantastic.
