We went to a farm and cut a tree down. We bought our sleds. We went down all the hills on the farm. The next week we got a box of Christmas cookies. I like Christmas cookies! About a day from Christmas Dad's friend came over. Dad's friend brought some peculiar boxes over and put them under the tree. Before we went to bed our Uncle John, Scott, Aunt Shirley, and Annette came over. Then Mrs. Solar came over with some just baked bread. It smelled good. Then every body left. We put out some cookies and milk out. We went to bed. It was morning. It was Christmas! We had to wait for every body. Then I raced down stairs. We got skis! Cross country skis. They made us open the peculiar boxes last. My sister and I faced the op- posite way and stared to open the peculiar boxes. My sister got hers open first. She screamed. Then I opened mine. They were Cabbage patch kids. Mine was a girl and my sister's was a boy. But I wonder what's going to happen this year? Julie Ball Grade 3, R.H. Cornish. THE MOST MEMORABLE CHRISTMAS My most memorable Christmas was just last year. (Not to mention I got many presents.) I remember that I only got two hours of sleep because Christmas is an exciting event. I woke up my brother, and we crept downstairs to look around. I chuckled because two packages were the same shape. We couldn't think of anything to do because it was only 3.00 am. We started to shake presents to pass the time. Finally we couldn't take the wait any longer. We grabbed the stock- ings and ran upstairs. I woke up mom and dad then we opened our stockings. After that we opened presents. My dad fixed up some eggs. Mom conked out on the couch. It was the most memorable Christmas ever. I bet it always will be. Alison White, Age 9, R.H. Cornish. My parents and 1 were setting out the cookies for San- ta. When suddenly our cat Simon starting playing with the Christmas balls that hung on the tree. This was Simon's favourite hobby during Christmas time. Only this time Simon hit the ball so hard with his paw that he knocked the ball off the tree. Simon was about to hit another ball when my dad told me to grab Simon he ran away and I lost my balance and fell into the tree. The tree fell over and the balls and decorations were all over the floor. I was fine but my parents weren't laughing. That Christmas Eve we spent re-decorating the tree. Erin Lally, Grade 3, R.H. Cornish. MY MOST MEMORABLE CHRISTMAS Last Christmas was my most memorable Christmas. From San- ta, | got a preemie. Her name is Shannon Glenna I got Mama Snug- glebum and Love-a-Lot. That night we went to church. I brought Love- a-Lot. Two days later, we went to Kapuskasing, to visit my Grand- parents. We stayed for about one week. On New Year's Eve, my brother and I got to stay up with our cousin Tommy, until everyone came home from the dance at 2:00 A.M.! We spent the time watching T.V. and eating. Tracy McCullough Grade 3, R.H. Cornish. MY MOST MEMORABLE CHRISTMAS Two years ago I went to my aunt and uncles for Christmas and my two cousins Jamie and Andrew were playing with my sister and I. We played blind man's bluff. My sister and I hid in Dale's room and my cousin Andrew was walking past the door and my sister stepped out of the room. I tryed to follow her but I tripped and fell and hit my head on the humidifire and I cryed and cryed until my dad came up with my aunt. My dad is a vet and my aunt is a nurse. They did not have bandages so my dad got some white tape and made an X and said it was a butterfly. They took me to the hospital and I got two stitches. My sister slept over at my grandparents house. Kyla McCrae, Grade 3, R.H. Cornish. With deepest appreciation for your friendship and good will in the past, thanks and Merry Christmas. BAYSHORE TAKE-OUT DAIRY BAR CONWAY PLACE ho oto
