As the snow flakes begin to fly, the students of PP H § realize that winter is here and winter brings the Christmas holidays. There are only 14 school days left until the holidays, Rebels Let's make these busy days the greatest. From December 2 to December 6 many musical groups will be perfor- ming at P.P.H.S. This week is AIR BAND week and approximately 37 groups are entered in the competi- tion. Good luck to all competitors and we hope to see you on Friday, December 6th in gym AB to cheer on the 5 finalist groups competing for the No. 1 spot. School rings arrived on Friday, November 29th, and school jackets also will be arriving soon. December 12th is a very impor- Farmer loses a heifer A Seagrave area farmer is out ap- proximately $1,500 after a heifer he bought last spring strayed away from the rest of the herd and was killed. Mrs. Lace of R.R.2, Seagrave, called the Port Perry Star Monday to report the loss of the two year old heifer from the farm of John Leask, on the 12th concession. Later, she phoned back to cancel her classified ad, saying the cow had been killed, apparently by wolves. Her son said the heifer was stuck firmly in mud but wasn't sure whether the animal had died in the mud and was then eaten by wolves, or whether the cow had indeed been attacked.
