PEE WEE Saturday morning November 30th saw the result of hard work pay off as Port Perry Lions came from a 3 to 0 deficit to manage a 4 all tie in the first game of the day between the Lions and Scala Bros. At the end of 2 periods, Scala en- joyed the 3 to 0 lead on goals by Carl Payne, Mike Butt and Mike Bardeleben. Assists went to Vince Criscione with 3, Carl Payne 1 and Rob Ashton 1. Lions came out fighting in the third and goals by Mark Shepperd, John Collins with 2 and 1 by Kevin Buscher put Lions in front by 1 goal. Assists went to John Woodward with 2 and 1 each to John Collins, Mark Sheppard and Greg Kyle. With 3 minutes remaining Richie Stapleton scored on a pass from Vince Criscione to salvage the tie for Scala. Final score Scala 4, Lions 4. The second game was a hard fought battle between Frank Real- ty and Larocque Electric with Frank winning by a score of 2-1. Larocque opened the scoring on a earned 2 to 1 victory. BANTAM Sunday November 24th, 1985 Emmersons - 3 Cochranes - 2 On Sunday November 24th, Em- mersons moved into second place ahead of Cochranes with a 3-2 vic- tory over the Horsemen. Jason Weinhold scored two goals in leading his team to the win. Darcy Head added the lone goal, as Chris Logan, Jim Jackman and Jason Bertrand picked up assists. For the Horsemen, Ron Halligan picked up a goal and an assist. Jon Rodway added the lone goal and is still leading the league in scoring. IGA - 3 Consumers Gas - 2 This was a type of game where you would like to throw away the score sheet, what was going on out there? Emmersons jumped into an early lead by scoring three goals with Jason Weinhold picking up the hat trick as well as two assists. Darcy Head also scored three goals and added two assists as well. Joe Jackman picked up two assists and Chris Logan notched one assist as Emmersons went on to win 6-2 over the Gas Works. Gary Dowson and Allan Shepstone each had a goal and an assist. Neil Mark picked the other assist. Cochranes - 4 1GA - 3 Here was a hockey game in which shooting and passing was at its best with IGA leading after two periods 2-1. Chris Lavereau scoring first, then Jon Rodway of Cochranes tied it up before Gerry Douma gave them the lead before going into the third period. Lavereau put them ahead IGA 3-1, before the horsemen drew in the reins tight and started breaking stride and beating IGA to the puck with Jon Rodway adding two more with Vince Criscione putting one in between Rodway's goals. Drawing assists for IGA, Chris Watson with two and Shawn Phillips. : For the Horsemen, Criscione and Ron Halligan had two each, Dave LeRoy, Peter Brock and Rodway Final score of a well-played game, 4-3 for Cochranes Bantams for playoffs Port Bantams B's played the team they must face first round in playoffs (Uxbridge). Dave Irvine put Port on the board after he received a nice pass from Rob Jamieson Uxbridge tied the game until the ten minute mark when Larry Collins scored with a nice pass coming from Dave Irvine.
