The November meeting of the afternoon U.C.W. was held at the at- tractive home of Neta Fish with a smaller attendance than usual. Leader Jean Williams opened the meeting with a welcome followed by a poem entitled, 'Your Problems -- My Problems' by S. Rice. Minutes were approved as read and the Treas. statement was given by Neta Fish showing a satisfactory balance. During correspondence, a sympathy card was signed for the Marlow family and a get well for Olive Heaslip who has been in hospital. During the brief business period money was voted to the Church Board. Nestleton United will host the World Day of Prayer Ser- vice, Friday, March 7th with student minister Verna Windrem as speaker. Leader Jean asked members to be thinking of sugges- tions for the 1986 programmes. The regular meeting to be held December 10th at Jean Williams' home. Bring along items for the Christmas Cheer boxes -- homemade goodies, whatever members would like to make. Neta Fish is purchasing the fruit for the boxes. Campbell Soup labels are to be taken to the Oshawa Presbyterial meeting. The interesting Worship service was presented by Jean and Leona with topic- *'Autumn" opening with "The King of Love My Shepherd Is." The key verse of Scripture was taken from Matthew 6: verses 28 & 99. It described our wearing app rel and how we should be thinking more about our actions as Christians. Some of the captions were: "Love Thy Neighbour" - this dress makes the plainest woman look lovely. A coat with the label 'Selfishness' is one we would wish to discard. One which is labelled "the Cloak of Righteousness' would be attractive to wear at any time. The Worship closed with a Prayer for more Chris- tian love to one another It was summed up -- let us be good am- bassadors for our U C.W. Roll Call was answered with a verse on Peace The meeting closed with Mizpah Benediction Lunch was served by Jean and Leona and a vote of appreciation was given by Marion Hall.
