That's pretty good as well, considering she completed the course in six months, rather than the 12 months it usually takes students to finish grade four. Singing is not the only musical talent Janet has. She's an ac- complished pianist as well and has Janet Stachow wins music award completed grade 8 piano She started to play the piano at age "our and took her first singing lesson four years ago. The young girl, who 1s shy about her accomplishments, told the Star she doesn't know at this time where her musical talents might take her, but she plans to continue studying voice and piano. And she'll continue to sing in the Junior Coir at the Myrtle United Church. She does hope to someday study music at university. In the meantime, she's working on her grade six voice courses.
