Judge Norman Edmondson con- cluded a preliminary hearing in Ajax provincial court saying suffi- cient evidence existed to warrant committing Steven Guymer to trial in district court on two counts of criminal negligence causing death, impaired driving and having more ~ than the legal amount of alcohol in his system. Edmondson ordered Guymer to appear for a pre-trial meeting in Whitby district court on Jan. 16. A publication ban was imposed by Edmondson on evidence presented at the hearing. Guymer was charged in mid-June after Margaret Parsons, 62, of Aurora, and her brother-in-law James Parsons, 77, of Tonawanda, N.Y, died as a result of a two-car collision on Reg. Rd. 21, just east of Reg. Rd. 23 on May 20. At the time, Durham Regional Police said the Parsons' vehicle, driven by Mrs. Parsons' husband, Don. 62, was eastbound when struck by a westbound car & BAKERY (greenbank (410)985-2416 Something a little different try the TEA ROOM OPEN SAT. & SUN.
