First period goals for our girls were scored by Lisa Levy assisted by Nicki Beare and goal by Chris Mueller assisted by Lisa Levy. Un- fortunately Mariposa scored 8 goals this period. Second period goals were scored by Lisa levy assisted by Sylvia Durwood and Nicole Slack assisted by Nicki Beare. All our girls played well however, just couldn't get it together to win this game. Pee Wee B's tie 4-4 On Saturday night November 16th the George Stone Real Estate Pee Wee B's played Oshawa Bruins and came away with a 4 to 4 tie. This was a very exciting game with both sides having excellent opportunities to win it. Scoring for Port was Greg Fit- zgerald, assisted by John Ennis and Scott Menzies, Ethan lavereau assisted by Jody Breen; Jody Breen unassisted and Chris Forder unassisted. Dave Talbot played well in goal. This team is coming along very well with the coaching efforts of Todd Wilbur, Brian Mikkelsen and Scott Wilbur. Port Pee Wees nipped 5-3 by Chris Legere On Friday, November 15 Port Perry Legionaires hosted the Stouff- ville Clippers in a league game but they were defeated 5-3 in a hard fought game. Port Perry started the scoring with two goals. The first by Graham Sullivan assisted by Mark Andrews and Sean Bradbury. The second by Jan Heyes, unassisted. Stouffville then scored 8 times before Port could score again. Port's final goal was scored by Sean Bradbury, unassisted. Stouff- ville then scored twice more before the game ended. The final score again Port 3 and Stouffville 5. Ports next home game will be on Friday, November 22 against Bowmanville. The Opening Dance on November 9 at the Curling club was very successful this year as a record crowd for this annual event danced into the wee hours. Information regarding the New Year's Dance will appear in future columns. Friday, November 8, marked the closing date for entries into the Labatt Tankard Club Playdowns. There are five teams playing down for two births into the zone level so there should be some good curling. For those unfamiliar with this event, it is the staring point in establishing an Ontario Champion and a trip to the Briar. The date for the Club Playdowns is November 30 and December 1.
