D. Davis. Mrs. Mubanga 1s on the synod of the United Church of Zambia, and 1s one of the two persons invited to par- ticipate in the national meetings of the Division of World Outreach of the United Church of Canada. She gave everyone a greater insight in- to how the people of Zambia, in the interior of Africa live. Rebecca Helsdon, a new member of our Church sang a beautiful solo **Rain- ing on the Inside." As a manager of a swine operation in Zambia she doubtlessly enjoyed a tour of the LLarmer's new swine barns. Susan Sheen of Toronto attended the Commencement Exercises on Saturday evening and the Gradua- tion Dinner on Sunday. It was great to see Susan again. On Sunday noon the annual Graduation Dinner was held at the Parish Hall with the ladies of the A.C.W. catering a delicious dinner. This annual event is attended by the graduates, their parents, the staff and the members of the Student's Council. After dinner, each student spoke telling some highlights of the past few months, each teacher spoke, many in very humorous style after which several parents gave their congratulations. All in all it was a most enjoyable time of reminiscing. On Monday morning the annual Remembrance Day Service was held in the Blackstock Recreation (Turn to page 16) Those roads were slick in Scugog ICY ROADS Sunday night's slick roads and blustery winds kept Durham Regional Police busy with minor fender benders throughout Scugog Township. Although they were called out on several occasions, police officers reported nothing serious here or in the neighbouring Township of Uxbridge. With winter now settling in for a few months, motorists are advised to drive with caution, particularly on back roads or over bridges. $500.
