On Wednesday, I had the pleasure of attending Region 7 Hospital Aux- iliary Fall Conference in Cobourg with four members of the Port Perry Auxiliary. People are living much longer so our population is becom- Woman hurt A 33-year old Port Perry woman received major injuries early Satur- day morning when the car in which she was a passenger drove into the back of another vehicle on Harmony Road at the 6th Concession. Doreen Clark, 33, of 450 Kenny Court in Port Perry, is in critical condition at Sunnybrook Medical Centre with head and chest injuries. The car driven by John Clarke, 41, of 452 Kenny Court, rear-ended a car driven by Jennifer Huinisk, 16, of Raleigh Road East in Brooklin. Sympathy is extended to Meredith and Betty McKee in the tragic death of their son, last Thursday after- noon. The McKee family are known for many miles around as the friend- ly ice-cream man. The weekend was a hive of activi- ty getting ready for the annual fall beef supper on Sunday evening. Well over three hundred sat down. A special thanks goes out to everyone who donated vegetables; to the ladies who made so many pies and to all the people who worked. To all the young people who helped, you did a swell job and it is appreciated very much. Thursday night is an exciting time for the children.
