With one successful year behind us, we can now forge forward with confidence that there will be many more exciting years for this publication. Gone are the jitters of a year ago, when we agonized if there was a niche for a unique, new magazine-styled product in Scugog... but the community's response was immediate and overwhelmingly supportive and accepting. As with all fledgling enterprises, we’ve experienced some growing pains throughout our first 12 months, but gradually we're working out the kinks and finding our place in this great community. course none of this would have been possible without the incredible support of gel 9 you fresh, interesting and enjoyable stories about the people and activities taking place in Scugog. Ourgrowth in the coming months will include new, exciting additions to the magazin First of all we are extremely pleased 0 have teamed up with the Scugog Lake Stewards Inc., creators of the popular Millennium Trail along the Port Perry lakefront, to bring you their quarterly report called Life On The Lake. You'll find the first volume of Life On The Lake in the centre of this issue of Focus on Scugog. It will become a regular feature of the magazine four times a year, bringing residents valuable information about Lake Scugog and its impact on our environment. Also in the planning stages is a website which will allow our readers access to current and past issues of Focus on Scugog. When completed, entire issues and individual pages will conveniently be available for downloading or printing. This will not only be an added benefit to the general public, but also to our advertisers who will gain extra exposure through the site. We expect, barring any delays, to have this up and operational within the month. 0 as we at Focus on Scugog begin our second year we'd like to take this opportunity to say a BIG THANK YOU to all those people who partnered in our success. Those of us working to bring Focus on Scugog to the residents of Scugog Township each month are extremely proud of what’s been accomplished to date, but even more pleased with the response from our readers. We've heard time and time again through letters to the editor, by telephone and in conversation that Focus on Scugog is a product which is being enjoyed by our readers and advertisers.
