@ Miss Teen Canada set to challenge the world Being in the right place, at the right time couldn’t be more true for young Cali Turner of Blackstock. This attractive young teen was sitting near a window in a downtown To- ronto Tim Horton's with her mother last year, when she was approached by representatives of the Shok Modelling Agency. The women agents asked Cali if she had ever modelled. After learning she hadn't, they pre- sented her with a card and asked if she was interested in pursuing mod- elling to give them a call. The rest, as they say, is history! Since that chance meeting, Cali has been on a whirlwind ride and has advanced her brief modelling career to become the reigning Miss Teen Canada for 2006. It was during a fashion benefit show hosted by Pamela Anderson last year that Cali was first booked for a photo shoot. That ‘shoot’ led her to be- ing entered in the Miss Teen Canada Globe search. Then after winning Miss Teen Durham Region, she competed and won the prestigious title of Miss nw Teen Canada Globe 2006, in August last year. Like many young girls, Cali was intrigued by the glamour of models walk- ing runways and the excitement of the fashion industry. While growing up she could often be found watching fashion shows on television, or spending time looking through fashion magazine As she got older and taller, it became evident that her dream of modelling 2 just might be possible.
