Otficials could not be reached on Tuesday for figures on first day enrolments Break-ins at Island homes Durham Region Police say there was a series of break-ins last week at homes along Fralick's Beach at the north side of Scugog Island. Four homes were entered between August 25 and 28, but police say little of value was stolen. In one instance a tape measure was stolen, in another home two bottles of whiskey were missing, and in two of the in- cidents, there was nothing missing. One of the homes was damaged to the tune of $175 for a broken window. Yes, this pair should look familiar.
