Utica and Area News by Vera Brown Doug and Judy Mac- Sween and boys are back from spending two weeks in PEI where they visited with Doug's sister, father and grand- parents and attended a gathering of the Mac- Sween clan. They stayed with his grandmother, Mrs. Alice MacQuarrie "in Winslow. The boys discovered that they didn't like the taste of salt water while swimm- ing at the beach, but they did enjoy the rodeo at the Charlottetown Exhibi- tion. They went oyster picking and Doug pigged out by eating over 100 at once. He also had his fill of lobster, clams, mussels and quahogs. They had a good time, but say they came home to rest. On Sunday they were dinner guests with Judy's parents, Joan and Fred Timms at Greenbank. Church services resume on a regular basis this week and will be held at 11:15 a.m. at Utica. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Meyers of Scarborough called on the William Browns on Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Crosier, along with Mrs. Donna Robison and Miss Kathy Robison, spent a few days last week with Mr. and Mrs. W.W. Scott in London. On Saturday they attended the wedding of Mr. Dale Beare and Miss Karen Aalto in Oakville and then returned home with Mrs. Crosier to spend the weekend. The Croxall girls have had music exams recent- ly and congratulations are in order. Julia received 78 (honors) in Grade VI piano and 87 (1st class honors) in Grade 1 Theory. Sarah received 81 (1st class honors) in Grade IV piano. Sunday dinner guests with John, Sharon and girls were Mr. and Mrs. Norman Holmes of Toronto and Mr. Os. Croxall. Mrs. Mildred Thomp- son and Mrs. Phyllis Clarke were Saturday dinner guests with Mr. and Mrs. Don Hill at Mount Albert. Mildred's aunt, © Mrs. Ethel Wideman of Newmarket, visited for a few days. On Sunday Mildred and Phyllis visited the cot- tage at Canal Lake and later called on Mr. and Mrs. Don Lee in Wood- ville and Mr Chris Clarke in Lindsay.
