August 20, 1985 Blackstock Fair to open with a real smash Blackstock 1s buzzing with excitement as plans and preparations for the 120th Annual Blackstock Fair are being finalized This agricultural fair starts with a crash on heats, along with a Powder Puff class. All this action 1s free for the entrants as there 1s no entry fee. Saturday sees the fair in full swing with the Friday, August 23rd with a multi-class Demolition Derby. The derby will be run with a number of buildings opening at 9:30 a.m. Visitors to the fair enjoy the many culinary, homecraft and flower ex- hibits as well as com- mercial displays and craft demonstrations throughout the day. Of special interest this year will be a doll display In the Recreation Centre.
