Next Sunday Rev. Cliff Johnston of Lindsay will be the guest minister. Mr. and Mrs. David Humphrey and children, Amanda and Michael of Deep River visited with their parents, Catherine and Ernie Humphrey and family this past week. Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. W. Gardner and Jean recently were Mr. and Mrs. James Cunn- ington and family of Guelph, Mr. and Mrs. Rees Williams of Don Mills and Mrs. Irma Tripp of Port Perry. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Gardner also spent a holiday with Mr. and Mrs. Rees Williams of Don Mills. Visitors with the Herons this week were Elaine and Ken Heron of Bracebridge. Another foundation was dug out for a house at the four corners of Ashburn, which makes two houses that will be going up very close to each other and it will be interesting to see which one gets up first. We are glad to report that Ann Budd is able to be home from Wellesley Hospital after having very serious surgery. Also Bill Hopkins is home from Sunnybrook Hospital. Requests from Port Perry and area residents has conse- quently prompted Durham Save-a-Heart to schedule another CPR course in the Library of the Community Mem- orial Hospital. The course being of- fered is the Basic Rescuer level (12 hours). Dates are Saturday, August 10, and 17, from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. The fee is $35.00 per person. Persons wishing to Recertify, may do so by attending on August the 17th only, from9a.m.-5 p.m. The fee for recer- tification is $25.00 per person.
