RINGGENBERG - VINE Susan Marie Ringgenberg and Gordon James Vine exchanged wedding vows May 18, at First United Methodist Church, Nevada. Parents of the couple are Robert and Harriet Ring- genberg, Nevada and Wilfred Vine, Nestleton, On- tario, Canada, and the late Eva Vine. Janet Williams, sister of the bride, Laurie Weiermann and Connie Enyart were the bride's attendants. Tim Ashburn, James Jennings and Pete Cummings were the bridegroom's attendants. Following a wedding trip to Omaha, Neb., the cou- ple is at home at R.R.2, Nevada. Susan is a 1981 Nevada High School graduate. She is a 1984 graduate with a B.A. in psychology, and a 1985 graduate with a B.S. in biology from Graceland College, Lamoni. She is enrolled in post graduate studies at lowa State University. She is employed by Story County Hospital, Nevada. Gordon is a 1981 graduate of Cartwright High School, Blackstock, Ontario, Canada. He is a 1985 graduate of Graceland College, Lamoni, with a B.A. in French. He is enrolled in post graduate studies. Sixty-three friends and relatives attended. Brother Ed from Brockville, two sisters, Bertha and Edith from Campbellford, sister-in- law from St. Catherines, daughters Marg, Prince Albert, Doreen, Picker- ing, sons John, Port Perry, Raymond, Toron- to,and Everett, Man- chester. Other relatives and friends from Buffalo, Deep River, Oshawa, Belleville, Guelph, Orono and Prince Albert. All enjoyed a salad supper and birthday cake. A belated birthday wish is sent to Leta from her friends in Prince Albert as she spent many years in the village and made many friends when Leta and her late husband ran the little store before building the present store. Thursday evening seen a smaller turnout at the euchre as many of the -players went to Toronto to the race track for senior citizen day. The winners for the evening were Vera Fawns, Ber- enice Daniels, and Rewa Boe. Men - Bert Daniels, Caroline Hough and Frank Andrews. See you on Thursday evening 7:30. On Saturday a number of parents, grand parents and children from the area attended the studio of dance and performing arts which presented "Be A Perfomer' at Eastdale Collegiate. It was a very entertaining afternoon from the smallest four year olds to the adults. You will be able to see some of these children perform at Festival Days in July. On Sunday, Rev. Tansley took the church service. The choir sang a lovely anthem. Rev. Jackson and his wife, Linda, are away a few days celebrating their 20th anniversary. Our village keeps changing with people coming and going. We bid farewell to those that are leaving and extend a welcome to those moving in. Out of a class of 72, 19 were pre sent. All enjoyed renew- ing old friendships, a turkey dinner and a short programme. Rev. Clarke although he has retired several times, still is very active. On Sunday he spoke at the annual decoration service at Pinegrove Cemetery. The Prince Albert Men's quartette provided the music. The McCrea Reunion was held at Prince Albert Community Hall, June 16 with sixty members present. Com- ing from Niagara Falls, Jordon Station, Georgetown, Caledon, Carp, Garden Hill, Orono, Brooklin, Toron- to, Belleville and Port Perry. An enjoyable after- noon was spent catching up on family news. The day ended with a special invitation from Ralph McCullough to go down to their home and see what he has done to the McCrea homestead, which was much ap- preciated by the McCrea family.
