July 29 to August 2 Guides receive awards Collette Bertrand, Jen- nifer Best, Melissa Bramham and Laura DeKoning for the past three years have had fun and worked hard to receive their All Round Cords. They were tested 'in two challenges, Adventure and Voyageur, each of which had four categories - camping and outdoors, community, home and world. Another require- ment was the completion of several general in- terest badges including History, Outdoor Adven- ture; -Cook, Junior Camper, Fire Safety, Citizen and Keep Fit. The girls learned about service in the communi- ty and visited the Senior Citizens home with favours at special times of the year. The All Round Cord is the highest award given to the 9-12 year old Girl Guides before they move on to Pathfinders and work towards their Canada Cord.
