The shop is called 'Antiques and Things" and proprietor Gail Platten says the name is self explanatory. Boy the stories they could tell, also on this trip are Lamies sister Gatty and her hus- band, Hink Reinders and their girl Inge also all from Holland. They are returning home on Wednesday. Now last Thursday June 6 was Peter Van Ginhoven"s birthday and on Sunday, 26 family members including children, grandchildren and all the rest, gathered in the Van Ginhoven's back yard for a party. Well Happy Birthday Peter and a good year ahead is wished for you. Deepest sympathy is extended to the Clodd family on Simcoe St. in the loss of their nephew and cousin Robert Lee Perry last Saturday. He was only 11 years old. Thursday evening June 13 saw 13 tables of euchre played at Prince Albert Hall. Ladies high was Elva Kydd, second was Fran Gibson and low was Minnie Sale. Mens high was Carolyn Hicks, second was Bert Danieles, and low was Charlie Dennie. Now to the lone hand series and there was a three way tie, Rose Willoughby, Norman Rohrer and Anne Manns with 11 points a piece. See you all on June 20 at 7:30 in the Prince Albert Hall. The monthly meeting of the Prince Albert U.C.W. was held on Wednesday June 12 at 8 p.m. in the United Church basement. Six- teen ladies answered the roll call - "What is your special gift or talent?" Business was short. It 'was voted to send fifty dollars to Elizabeth Werder in the West In- dies. The yard sale will be in September this year, so don't forget when cleaning up after summer. Devotion was done by Eva _Hunter, Diana Brough and Andrea Jones. Their theme being "Everyone is Special in God's Eyes.' They did a splendid job on this, with hymns, prayers and scripture all fitting in perfectly. Lunch was served by Janet Vernon, Andrea Jones and Helen Wozney. Next meeting will be Sept. 11 at 8 sharp. Last weekend June 8 and 9, well that was Eileen Hodgins and Beth Pereman's birthdays, so they decided to travel down to Braeside, On- tario and visit Beth's sister Ann who also has a birthday on June 12th. On the Saturday night, Eileen and Terry, Beth and Lloyd and Jim and Ann all enjoyed dinner in Ottawa. Belated birth- day greetings to you ladies. Grace Cherrie also celebrated her 77th birth- day on Friday, June 14 and her daughter Eileen took her out to dinner, no not: to Ottawa, better then that, to the Murray House in Port Perry. Mr. and Mrs. Sandy Moore are home from a four day bus tour of New York City and get this, a hom« has not been built in New York City for 50 years. Land is just too expensive. God Bless America, they need it. On Wednesday June 12 Mr. and Mrs. Karl Mar- tyn and Mr. and Mrs. Sandy Moore travelled to Hamilton to view the R.B. Gardens and then to Norwick to see McMillan Iris Gardens. Recent guests with Florence Smith over on Hurd St. were her grand- son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Micky Stolar of Burlington and their we¢ daughter Elizabeth. Les and Grace Beacock along with two of their grandsons, Philip of Shirley Road and Craig of Seagrave at- tended the 58th Beacock reunion at Blackstock on June 15.
