Lishman wins contract for World's Fair Blackstock Area News by Joyce Kelly On Sunday Bill and Paula Lishman and boys hosted a party to celebrate Bill winning a contract at the World's Fair in Vancouver. Many friends, relatives and neighbours attended this happy event. Two of our older ladies celebrated birthdays this weekend. Happy Birth- day to Mrs. Belle Werry whose birthday was Sun- day while Mrs. Louise Wright had her birthday on Monday. Happy Birth- day ladies. Neil and Kathy McLaughlin enjoyed a trip to St. Louis, Missouri where they visited the various points of interest. GRADUATION Cathy ~ Phillips, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Phillips, Port Perry, graduated from Carleton University, Ottawa on Saturday, June 15, 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts in the Faculty of Social Sciences - majoring in Law and Political Science. Cathy plans on continuing her education this fall at Sir Wilfrid Laurier University, Kitchener. While there they toured the # Grey Summit, Missouri Research Farm. They flew out on Thursday returning home on Sunday. Con- gratulations Neil for win- ning this trip. While they were away Alex and Jessica stayed with their grandparents. Last Sunday following the Decoration Service Mrs. Pat Fletcher, Diana and Scott entertained the following guests: Mr. and Mrs. John Fletcher, Scarborough; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kittle, Bob- caygeon; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hoskin, Nesleton; Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Graham and Rob; and Ralph Martyn, Prince Albert. On Sunday Gerald and Joyce Kelly and girls hosted a family gather- ing following the Port Perry United Church Service when a Special Gift from the estate of the late Frances Boundey was dedicated. Guests at the gathering were Harvey and Joan Graham; Cheryl, Mark and Rob; Louis Graham; Jim and Ellen Graham; Robbie, Heather and Sara; Tom and Lois Feltis, Chyrl, Peter and Randy; Barry Jones all of Dalrymple; Jean Jones, Patricia and Justin of Lindsay; Peter and Gayle Aitken, Peter Jr. and Leighellen, Fenelon Falls; and Bar- bara Heyes of Port Perry. Frank and Muriel Hoskin held a Father's Day Family supper with their family attending. On Tuesday twenty- one ladies enjoyed a bus trip to Toronto where they visited Ed Mer-~ vish"s Village and Spadina House.
