We all hope his treatment there will make him fee! a lot better. On June 30th Burns Sunday School will hold their morning school time in the park. Plans are being made for a happy time there and everyone is invited to come. The annual Iris Show of the Horticulture Socie- ty will be held in Burns Church on Monday even- ing June 7th. There will also be an Iris flower ar- rangement demonstra- tion. You are welcome. The regular June meeting of the Ashburn group of the W.M.S. was held at the home of Ruby Bryant of Port Perry on Wednesday evening of last week. With an atten- dance of nine. The open- ing devotions were given by Chrissie McKinney and the study which was the last in our study book "The Parables are a Mir- ror" was explained by Nellie Hopkins. The hostess served a lovely lunch. The next regular meeting will be in September. Mr. and Mrs. Mel Briscoe attended the 50th wedding anniversary of their friends, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Rebick of Toronto last Saturday. Visitors with Ted and Rose Heron on Sunday were Doris and Bill McAndless, Karen and Linda of Don Mills and Bruce Davis of Scar- borough. There were some lovely ar- rangements of flowers in the Sanctuary of Burns Church last Sunday reminding us of the beau- ty around us and the knowledge that man can plant and man can water but only God can make a flower. Rev. McEntyre's message was "Religion at the Right Temp- eratur." The Scriptures were read by Ken Brown and Margaret Davis. The choir sang 'Isn't the Love of Jesus Something Wonderful?' The Mathews family are the ushers for this month. Next Sunday will be a (RIK \aits/ Father's Day service and the men's choir will sing.
