"What we're really after is somebody to sell our fair, to be a goodwill am- bassador for the fair. It's a lot of public relations." The winner must be female, single, and bet- ween the ages of 18 and 23. Judges will be looking for good character, poise, personality, charm and it won't hurt any contestant to boast public speaking ability, as each girl will be re- quired to give a three to four minute speech on a topic relating to agriculture or anything to do with the fair. Entry forms are available at Irwin Smith or by calling Ron Deeth at 985-2218. All con- testants will be inter- ~ viewed and judged Thursday, July 11th, to start 1985's Western Days off with a bang. Every year for many years the Kinsmen Club has given a $200 bursary to students of Cartwright High School, and its members will continue to do so. Only difference is, now that Kinsman Rick Bouillon has presented Principal Jim Musselman with a plaque, each stu- dent winning the bursary will be remembered on a more permanent basis. The presentation was made Wednesday May 8th. a Gourmet Kitchens at Their Best with Decorative Pine & Oak Accessories...
