Mrs. Cecil Gibson assisted by her daughters Eleanor and Ann Vanderhuel hosted a bridal shower on Satur- day afternoon in honour of Marlene Parsons who will become the bride of David Buttery in two weeks. After Marlene opened her gifts assisted by Dana Lee, Katherine Ellis and Alaina Malcolm, she gave a fit- ting reply. A delicious lunch was served by the hostess. ~ Sunday morning callers of Lorne and Maxine Hoskin were Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Poff and Heather, Peterborough. Congratulations to Elizabeth Luke who received the Associate Trophy Award at the Graduation Dinner and Dance. This award is presented to the student who has made the greatest progress over his/her two years at Guelph. This is the first time ever won by a girl. Well done, Elizabeth.
