She put another candle on the cake on Sunday, just looking at her, you would wonder if any candles were on her cake. Mrs. Pearl Gostick and Ilean Pugh travelled to Markham Tuesday to at- tend the funeral of Edith Gostick, a cousin of theirs. A number of ladies from Prince Albert en- joyed the fashion show at the United Church in Port Perry on Wednes- day evening. A fine show indeed, enjoyed it very much. When those ladies 'Swing into Spring' they do a great job. The wee children still steal the show. On Tuesday March 19, Louisa Van Ravenswaay celebrated her 7th birth- day on Saturday, March 16. Louisa had 12 of her school friends to a birth- "day party at her home. They enjoyed pony rides and lots of games. Then on Wed. March 20, Louisa's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Hill and an aunt, Dora Heg- gie from Toronto helped Louisa celebrate again. Well, Louisa one more time, Happy Birthday to - you from Prince Albert. Eight tables of euchre were played last Thurs- day night at the Prince Albert Hall. Ladies high was Emmie Cox, second was Mary Poots and low was Elsie Taylor and Mens high was Herb Jones, second was Charlie Dennie and low was Phyllis Clarke. Do come out again Thurs- day March 28 and have some fun at euchre. Starts at 8 o'clock sharp. Sympathy of the com- munity to Les Beacock and his wife, Grace. Les lost his sister Margaret Tarves last Thursday. A number from Prince Albert were at the Town Hall during the weekend to hear Tom Millar, the High School Band and Jazzmerize perform. Bryan and Judy Beacock had Miss Olive Beacock of Oshawa with them for the weekend. A fairly good crowd were at church on Sun- day to see Rev. Glenn Jackson and Beth Pereman act out a skit on the conversation bet- ween Pilate and his wife and the dream she had. The basket of mums at the front of the church were from Margaret Tarves's funeral. Church and Sunday School this week are at Utica at 11:15 a.m. There will be a euchre Friday at 8 p.m. in Utica Hall and a dance on Saturday night. Earl and Irene Fielding celebrated their anniversary on Wednes- day by dining out in Sut- ton as guests of son Jim and family. Congratulations and best wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Keith Thompson who were married in Oshawa on March 19th, 1985. Keith was a former Utica boy who lived with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Crosier for several years. Denise Carre and daughter Laura spent Wednesday in Toronto. Laura stayed with her grandparents Denise enjoyed the Gigi performance at the Royal Alexandra Theatre and they had dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Hinchcliffe. Eric and Denise spent the weekend in Peter- borough where on Satur- day, they attended the wedding of Jim Legon and Sharon Sommerville and attended the recep- tion in Lakefield. Satur- day night and Sunday they stayed at the Red Oak Inn along with members of the wedding party. Kevin and Laura stayed with grand- parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Carre at Bridgenorth. Mrs. Hilda Bailey and son, Alan were in Stouff- ville on Saturday to wish Mr. and Mrs. Clayton From Our Wholesale Division while Hill the best on their 50th wedding anniversary. Also attending from Utica were Mr. and Mrs. James Saunders and children. Mrs. Mildred Thomp- son was a Tuesday sup- per guest with Mr. and Mrs. Murry Kirton at Mount Albert. Mr. and Mrs. David Bray visited on Sunday i with Mr. and Mrs. Pete Sutcliffe and family. We (Bill and I) were in Pontypool on Sunday for supper to celebrate the birthday of our children Dorothy and Charlie. There has been some activity going on at the corner lot and I unders- tand that they will be building a house there soon.
