Most of our local dairy farmers attended the On- tario Holstein Banquet on Sat. night at Sunderland Arena. Ken and Beth Cather- wood, Brian and Barry of Oshawa were weekend guests with her parents Ruth and Howard. Mr. and Mrs. A. Wat- son have returned from a two week holiday with her brother Nichlolas Cuddia at their winter home in Florida. Norm, Betty, John and .Ann Tapscott had Sun. lunch with Margaret Smith of Chalk Lake area. On Sat. Shirley and Paul Baster were dinner guests with Don and Gail Prentice. Congratulations to Sal- ly Irving on winning with her Piano slection at the Music Festival at Sunderland. Epsom School was represented at a I'ublic Speaking Contest at Ux- bridge by Colette Ber- trand and Jimmy Van Veghel. Congratulations girls you did very well and I'm sure you will win next year. A surprisingly large number decided to wash away the Feb. blahs by attending the pancake supper and watching a programme of Dr. Pat Asling's slides of people, flowers and wild life (nature type) and historical ancient sights at the Yacatan Peninsula Mexico. Thanks Pat also thanks to Don and Stella, Earl and Elizabeth for planning such an in- teresting and enjoyable evening. On Wednesday even- ing the U.C.W.
