Mrs. Edna Wilson and Mrs. Helen Thomson, were named delegates to attend from | our Branch. There was a valuable discussion regarding our 50th anniversary which we will be celebrating on Monday, May 6th at the Latcham centre. Many excellent ideas for decorations and pro- grams were discussed. This promises to be a most important milestone in the history of Honeydale Branch! The topic for our pro- gram was "World Af- fairs" the Roll call - "Name a Third World Country". The Motto "The World might be im- proved with vision and less television". Mary Cannon's group was in charge of program. In the absence of Mary due to having had foot surgery, Clara Warren gave the topic which had been prepared by Mary. Since television is here to stay, the topic is that the good and informative aspects will outweigh any negative aspects. Congratulations were extended to Mabel Cawker on her being given the award of merit. We sang 'Happy Birth- day' to Thelma McCreight. Since our topic today has been "World Affairs' it was appropriate that we sing the "Hymn of All Na- tions." The meeting clos- "Precious Body" PERM by Rilling. The black and white female at left, has a long silky coat to match her elegant personality, while the mar- - malade tom at right, is still a kitten at heart. The shelter also has a corgi cross female dog, a border collie cross, two matching white cats, a tiger tabby and a big fluffy grey cat.
