Gremlins in computer caused typing errors Utica and Area News by Vera Brown Every so often, little gremlins sneak into the newspaper office and play little tricks and last week was no exception on two of my items which should have read: Sympathy of the community to the Slute family in the passing of Lorne's father Mr. Albert Slute. Sympathy also to the Doug. Taylor family in their bereavement of Judy's grandmother Mrs. Cornelius. A Block Parent Assoc. has been formed that will include the towns of Greenbank, Epsom, Utica, Saintfield and Seagrave. Applications will be provided to those people who wish to become block parents. If you wish to obtain further information about the block parent program, or would like to apply to become a block parent, please contact Judy MacSween at 985-7251. Church and Sunday School this week will be held at Epsom Church at 11:15 a.m. At 6:30 p.m. there will be a potluck supper at Epsom and Shirley Baster will show pic- tures of her trip to Mexico. Everyone welcome. The Social Club will have a potluck supper followed by cards and a meeting for the organiz- "ing of activities for 1985 on Saturday Feb. 2nd at 7 p.m. in Epsom Church. Freeze-out winners were Nerta Masters and Bill Brown with Elsie Taylor and Bea Harrison second. There will be another euchre in two weeks. EDITOR'S NOTE: There were a couple of errors in the copy of the Utica News in last week's Star. The paragraphs in question should have read as follows: Sympathy of the com- munity to the Slute fami- ly in the passing of Lorne's father, Mr. Albert, Slute. Sympathy also to the Doug Taylor family in their bereavement of Judy's grandmother, Mrs. Cornelius. Apologies from the Star to both families for the mix-up in the two paragraphs.
