Scoring in this game were Misty Andrews 8 goals; Nicky Beare 1 goal; with assists going to Amy Parliament 2; Kelly Menzies 2; Shannon Fox 2, Denna Lovering 2, Jennifer Morden, Danielle Cooper and Kim Finley 1 each. In our second game we met a team from Stayner and came away the winners by a score of 8to 1. The highlight of this. game was Misty Andrews' 100th goal and after the game she was presented with the ring by the coaching staff. Scoring in this game were Kelly 3; Amy 2; Misty 2; and Chris Mueller 1 with assists going to Lyndsay Dutkewich 2; Nicky 2; Misty, Danielle, Shann- on and Jennifer 1 each. By virtue of these two wins Port entered the Championship game against our rivals from Mariposa. In the first period the game re- mained close as it ended with Port leading 4 to 3. Port then showed their desire to win the game by outscoring Mariposa 5goalsto 1in the s€eond . period to defeat them 9 to 4 to win the gold medal. Scoring for Port were Misty with 5 goals; Denna 3 and Kelly 1. Assists went to Shannon 2; Lyndsay 3; Chris 2 and Denna 1. Although Kim Popple- ton and Tanya Towns did not go unnoticed.
