Always generous and willing to pitch in, Ron has shared his expertise with other aquatic per- sonnel since 1976 when he first became a field representative travelling as part of a team throughout south- western Ontario. More recently, Ron has served the Uxbridge Area as a volunteer represen- tative, and, since 1981, as the Area's Co-chairman. His expertise in lifeguar- ding and pool maintenance, combined with his entertaining in- structional style has gained-him respect frorm students and peers throughout the region. Ron leads by example; organizing local lifeguard competitions, training lifeguard teams, and conducting many life saving and lifeguard training courses and ex- ams are only a few ex- amples of his valuable contributions. Ron is an excellent ambassador for the " Society. His leadership style is unique, his stan- dards consistent and un- compromising and his charisma enchanting. For -his unselfish con- tribution to the aims of the Society at the grass roots level, the Ontario Branch is pleased to pre- sent Ron with the Cer- tificate of Thanks.
