Entertain- ment was provided by the Uxgridge Ramblers, a very lively and enter- taining group whose music was enjoyed by everyone. Following this, awards and prizes were given out. G. Bajema had the most points for the year and was award- ed the Analda Cup and the two Paul Johansen Cups for coming 1st in both the flower and vegetable garden com- petition. Grace was also presented with a $25.00 gift certificate from ANNUAL CHRISTMAS Analda Nurseries. B. Mairs was 2nd for flowers and vegetables; R. Hoogeveen 3rd for flowers and M. Moore 3rd for vegetables. The photo competition was won by G. Bajema, L. Ryan and P. Johansen. Certificates of merit were awarded to R. Post, D. Oosterhold, E. McLaughlin for enter- ing their gardens and stickers given to the following to be placed on their 1983 certificates - A. Turcotte, M. Bailey, M. Moore, R. Hooge- veen, B. Mairs, G. Bajema, R. Wygerde and S. Love. C. McDiar- mid's cover design was picked 1st by members and will grace our 1985 yearbook. The monthly compet- ition a "Xmas Table Decoration" was won by A. Turcotte, 2nd K. Petrie and 3rd G. Bajema, and 'A Xmas Tree Ornament" was won by A. Woud, 2nd A. Turcotte and 3rd H. Bandstra. Many thanks to Santa Claus for his help in handing out the prizes. The door prize, a $10.00 gift certificate, donated by Dowson's Red and White, was won by our Mayor, Jerry Taylor, who gracefully declined stating that the holder of the ticket had left early. Another draw was made and won by "Yours Truly." Mrs. Chalice, Region- al Director for District 17 Horticultural Society installed the officers for 1985. The executive elected - Pres.
