(From page 17) Lloyd Kellogg and Neil Malcolm celebrate their birthdays. On Sunday Nancy and Bob Bryans along with 15 others surprised Orlee Bryan of Fenelon Falls on her birthday. Nancy, Debbie and Leanna Bryans and Patti Alpe attended the Bowmanville Santa Claus Parade and later had lunch with the Brown clan at Virginia Fairey's home. The Durham Region Horseback Riding for the Handicapped Assoc- iation held its Present- ation of Trophies for - Ride-a-thon 1984 at the Blackstock United Church on Sunday after- noon. The trophy for the Highest Earning Individual Rider was won by Dawn Richard- son of Toronto with a total of $1,101.00 in pledges. The runners-up were Diane Darch of Bowmanville with $900., and Patti Hoskin of Blackstock with $612.00 In the Junior Rider Category the first place winner was Krista Nelson of Oshawa with a total in pledges of $566.25. The second place winner was Susie McKay of Hampton area with $410. in pledges. The runner-up Novice lose On Friday Nov. 16 the Pearce Auctioneers hosted Port Hope in their 6th league game. The Novice No.1 play- ed good positional hockey during the 1st and 2nd periods. Port Hope scored 1 near the end of the 1st period. The teams remained scoreless playing good end to end hockey until late in the 2nd period, with Port Hope scoring at the 2:32 mark. With approximately 1 minute remaining, Port's Dave Bourgeois put one between the pipes assisted by Graham Holt. Within seconds Port Hope retaliated scoring one more before the period ended. In the 3rd period Port laid back allowing the visitors to dominate the play and score 3 more goals. Midway through this period Port's Dave Bourgeois scored his second of the night assisted by Kenton Le- Fort. The game ended 'with Port down 6-2. The Oc- tober minutes were read and a letter from Opera- tion Scugog followed by the Treasurer's report. All agreed that Husbands Night Out at Deer Park Inn was an enjoyable evening. A mo- tion was carried to make a donation to Operation Scugog. Joan had us playing a drinking game that was lots of fun with some sur- prises. The Roll Call was to bring a funny article in a bag for a paper bag auction with the money going to a worthy cause - that being, we ordered a pizza.
