Prince Albert Area News by Earline Armstrong Congratulations to John Benschop and his new bride, Kathy Platanitus, they were married on Saturday, October 20th in the Whit- by Free Methodist Church. Best wishes for ever from your friend in Prince Albert and on Quaker Road. Monday night, October Happy fiftieth! 22, friends and neighbours of Ron and Betty Deeth and Joe and Marjorie Baxter gathered at the Feedlot Restaurant in Man- chester and surprised them with a going away party or I should say moving away. Although it was last May and June, Mr. and Mrs. Norris Hardy of Port Perry celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on October 28. Earlier in the week, their son Grant and daughter Doris Brown took the couple out for dinner to celebrate the occasion. Married in Claremont where they lived most of their lives, Mr. and Mrs. Hardy moved to Port Perry three years ago, and find it just a delightful place to live. Two homes aged with years over on Mary and Josephine Streets, were purposely burned last Saturday with the Fire Department in guard. And I thought it was all that leave burning bit go- ing on. Probably you recall the home of Mr. Steve Perkins and The Perrault family residing on these premises a few years ago. The Youth Club of Prince Albert held a swinging Hallowe'en party on Friday evening, October 26 in the Prince Albert Church basement. One afternoon recent- ly, ten senior age ladies were entertained by Les and Grace Beacock in their home. No wonder Les needs a cane "Ten ladies." Please remember this Saturday, November 3 is the Hospital Auxiliary dance at the Latcham Centre, it's $15.00 a cou- ple to attend, just ask any Auxiliary member for tickets - there are lots to go around.
