Gail LADIES WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON Team Standings: Bubblicious - 29; Juicy Fruit - 24; Bubble Yums Port Novice On Friday October 12th the Novice All- Stars played their first home game against the Oshawa Bruins result- ing in a 7-1 loss for Port. The Oshawa team came out strong scoring 2 quick goals during the first minutes of the game, and adding one more later in the 1st period. On an assist from Clay Scott, Port's veteran Scott Heasman, blasted one home with seconds left in the first period. The Bruins slipped 3 more in during the 2nd period and scored their final goal in the 3rd period. New to Port's lineup this week is Graham Holt No.2 - welcome. On Sunday October 14th the team travelled to Oshawa to play the (416) 725-4245 dumped 7-1 seasoned Oshawa Black Hawks. Port played an aggressive 1st and 2nd period with the Hawks putting one up top late in the 2nd period. During the 3rd period the Hawks scored 3 quick goals early in the second period, but with 7:08 left to play Dave Bourgeois scored Port's lone marker with the assist going to Kenton LeFort. The Hawks came up with one more finishing the game with Port down 5-1. Although the score doesn't reflect it, all Port's players worked hard and had a good solid game. Keith is an ardent angler and has plans to send this pickerel for a visit with the tax- idermist. Last year, about this time, he landed a 49 inch muskie, and says that once the weather turns nasty in November, he'll be out on Lake Scugog in search of even bigger muskies.
