The girls seem to be better at turning out for they came second in _ practices and games and with all the activity demanded playing soccer, a much needed outlet is provided for girls of that age. Car- rides provided no prob- lems for these teams and the parents soon caught the bug as these enthusiastic girls did their *'thing"'. Girl's soccer is most definitely alive and well in Port Perry (From page 22) with two, Jim Beatty and Ray Zaparaniuk with one each. This was the first tournament of the season for the Scugog Lakers and the team was pleased with this first effort.
