It was seen on Tuesday at the Pine Ridge Golf Club looking much plumper than it did when it made it's debut at the Epsom ball game in July. Word is that it may be heading south in time for Thanksgiving so this may be the last we'll see of this strange looking bird. There will be a Bible Study group each Sun- day at 10:00 a.m. pre- sently studying Paul's Letter to the Galatians. These study groups are being held prior to church each Sunday. This week Church and Sunday School will be held in Epsom Church at the new hour of 11:15 © a.m. The Social Club will meet at Epsom Church on Saturday, September 22nd and the Slutes will escort everyone to Europe via slides. There will also be a baking contest for the men of the group which will be the lunch for the even- ing. Everyone is invited to attend but please bring your own alka seltzer. For more infor- mation contact Gord and Jill Postma or Don and Stella Asling who are the hosts for the evening. There will be a Session and Stewards meeting at Epsom Church on September 27th and a service of Baptism at Utica Church Sept. 30th. The 1st Scugog Beavers have started once again on Mondays at 4:30 p.m. at Man- chester Hall. Cubs on Mondays at 7 p.m. at Prince Albert School and Scouts on Wednes- days at 7 p.m. also at Prince Albert School. Barry and Rob Page visited with a friend at the cottage near Ban- croft. Glenn Page enjoy- ed the weekend in Scar- borough with cougins 'Steven and Matthew. They formed their band with Glenn on the drums and Steven play- ing guitar. Mrs. Katheryn Brown of Sunderland visited with son William on Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Crosier attended the wedding of Miss Patricia Vernon and Mrs. Timothy ashbridge on Saturday held at Scugog Grace United Church and the recep- tion which was held in Blackstock Recreation Centre. Visitors with Mrs. Crosier were Mr. and Mrs. Dean Beare of Oshawa on Sunday -and Mr, and Mrs. W.W. Scott of London on Monday. Mrs. Mildred Thomp- son attended the wedd- ing of Miss Sharon Albright and Mr. David White at Mount Zion Church on Saturday, and the reception which was held at Goodwood Hall. Mrs. Art Couves attended St. Andrews Presbyterian Church service in Scarborough where daughters Betty Dobson played the organ, filling in for her sister Lillian Reesor, who is in Scarborough General Hospital with a broken ankle. She is recuperating after surgery. Debbie Donneral, daughter of Bruce and Pat Donneral was honoured by being chosen Sunderland Fair Queen this year.
