-- 26 -- PORT PERRY STAR -- Tuesday, Sept. 11, 1984 - Can't complain about weekends Seagrave and Area News by Marilyn Beacock Certainly no one could or should complain about the beautiful warm and sunny week- end that we were just blessed with. Enjoy it while it's here folks! It certainly is a sobering thought to realize that in a couple of months we could be shovelling snow instead of relaxing in our lawn chairs. With most of the kids returning to their class- rooms this week, our village like a great many other communit- ies, seems almost like a ghost town after a summer of endless parades of bikes and laughing children. Hope each of you have a great year in school. Hooray for our Sea- grave Pee Wee boys team sponsored by Dow- son's Water Haulage who were victorious over the Port Perry Dowson's Red and White team in a recent tournament held at the Port Perry ball diamond and were declared the champion- ship winners in a real cliff-hanger of a game ending with a score of 12-8. Both teams are to be congratulated on THE HAIR CENTRE In the Port Perry Plaza on Perms ... Phone 985-7232 welcomes Angie to our staff. Angie is offering a discount Regular $38.50. . .. The boys and their parents wish to sincere- ly express their appreci- ation to a couple of Al coaches namely Bob Bruce and Murray Dur-" ward who deserve much of the credit for the successful season that the boys had. They realized and acknowled- ged each boys potential and did their best to help him achieve 'it. Thanks again fellas! Congratu- lations kids we're sure proud of you! A special thanks also to Dowson's Water Haulage for their kind generosity in offer- ing to sponsor this team. Sorry to report Mrs. Ila Keen is a patient in Port Perry Hospital.
