Elaine Kelly returned home after a three week trip to England and Scotland, Dalton and Kathleen Dorrell returned home from a trip to England and Janice and Gary Beechey returned home recently from a trip to Western Canada. Sympathy is extended to two local families who suffered the loss of their fathers this past week. Mr. Gordon Paisley's father passed away after a lengthy illness in Dunn- ville. Sympathy goes to Gordon and family, Craig and Cathy. Also Mr. Joseph Chorostecki, father of Ed Chorostecki, passed away recently. Sympathy goes to Ed and Carole, Chris and Ken- dall at this time. . Several moves have taken place in Blackstock over the past week. Good wishes go with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hardy and family as they leave our communi- ty to take up residence in their new home. Dale and Janet Van Camp have moved into the Har- dy house. Dave and In- grid Larmer moved this week to the home on the Larmer farm, receritly vacated by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Larmer. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hope accompanied by little Miss Tanya Stewart attended the wedding of their eldest grandson William Sturman to Heather Wallace at Ux- bridge Baptist Church on Friday evening July 27th. Attended also were Beth and Victor Stewart who were both members of the wedding party, as was Bill's best friend Neil Locke. Weekend guests at the Ope home were John and Heather Hope and baby David of Lucan, Ron and Judy Hope of Newcastle, Helen Cockwell of Oshawa and Jean and Cliff Wilson and girls Jennifer and Laura of Oshawa. Mrs. Grant Thompson returned home following eye surgery in Oshawa, Hospital. Also George Bryant is recovering at home following a short stay in Oshawa General Hospital. Todd James is home for the weekend. He is well enough to have his friends visit him in Riverdale Hospital. Don and Chris Cliff, Jason, Donnie and Robyn attended the first ever Cliff family reunion held at Echo Bay near Sault Ste. Marie. This is where the Cliff family settled when they first emigrated from Ireland. Approximately 125 peo- ple attended from many parts of Canada and the United States. The weekend was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Billets are required still for some of the Welsh boys and girls of School age, who will be in Blackstock on Fair weekend.
