There will be entertainment as well. On Friday evening the choir members with husbands or wives gath- ered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. B. Speck for a pot luck dinner and social time. Our retiring organist, Mrs. Linda Hunter was presented with a gift in apprecia- tion for her efforts for the past three years. Due to another commit- ment, the choir director and he was presented with a gift on Sunday by Mr. Ted Cordiner. The leadership of Linda and George has been appreciated by all. A lovely garden wedd- ing took place on Sat- urday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. G. Hunter in Saintfield when Mark Hunter and Vida Botteri were married. Her sister from Sweden was maid of honour and Bill Hunter was best man. Bailey, Brampton spent Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Couves. Church and Sunday School are at the usual hour next Sunday, with 'the Sacrament of Baptism. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Couves spent a day with Dr. and Mrs. John McKinney at Brooklin last week. We are glad to report that Jim Ianson is convalescing at home after a stay in Oshawa Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Robt. Snodden visited with her mother, Mrs. Howard McMillan on Sunday. The June meeting of Greenbank Women's Institute will be on Thursday evening June 21st at 8 p.m. at the Retiring organist honoured Hunter. We are having pictures of New Zealand and Australia. Every- one welcome. Mr. and Mrs. Neil Hunter, Mr. and Mrs. J. Symons and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hunter were in Guelph visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Paul Studinski on Sunday. Mrs. Ewart Willis visited with Mr. and Mrs. George Beare on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Armour McMillan visited with Mr. and Mrs. T. Kidd on Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Innes and family, Brooklin, Mrs. Fay Hubbert and Bill and Marlene West, Peter- borough, Mrs. Carol and Debbie Br- oks, Sunder- land called on Mr. and Mrs. Frank Innes on home of Mrs. Neil Father's Day. Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a gown of pure white peau-de-soie with a chiffon overdress in Victorian style, and featuring a high collar with ruffled trim. The bodice of the empire style dress was covered with alencon lace and re- embroidered with seed pearls. The bishop sleeves had appliques of alencon lace and pearls and tight cuffs with ruffles to match the collar. The cathedral length veil with blusher was attached to a tiara of alencon lace en- crusted with rhinestones. The bride carried a white bible which was a childhood gift from her maternal grandparents, covered with a silk uet of pink and white roses, stephanotis and baby's breath. She wore a gold bracelet which had been given to her great-grandmother by her great- grandfather on their wedding day in 1892. Kathleen Franklin of Don Mills was maid of honour. : Bridesmaids were Karen Magee of Oshawa, Cheryl MacKenzie of Rexdale, Janice Henderson and Elisabeth Westhues, both of Don Mills. Vincent Ball of Oshawa was best man. Ushers were Robert, Daniel and Richard Morton, all of Oshawa, brothers of the groom and d Dwight Scott of Oshawa, brother of the bride.
