The second game of Juniors finally win The Canadian Tire Juniors won their first game of the year by defeating Sunderland and ex-team mate Phil Robinson 3-2. Todd Wilbur went the dis- tance on the mound striking out 7 while picking up the win. The team put together some clutch hitting and smart baserunning to score 3 runs in the 5th inning. Jeff Johnstone led off the inning with a single and Paul Van Camp followed with another single. After an out, Ken Harman drove in a run with a single and with two out Scott Sandison drove in the second run with a bunt single. On Thursday, the Legion team travelled to Oshawa and lost again, 3-0 to the Oshawa Juniors. Mark Conetic picked up the win, while John Annis gave up 4 hits, striking out 12 and | took the loss. Over the past half dozen games the Legion has lacked the timely hitting required to be competitive in every game. Hopefully, this problem will be rectif- ied as more games are played.
