Awards night (From page 21) Bourgeois presented an engraved plaque with a team picture to Dave Jackson of Mother Jack- son's Open Kitchen, the local business which sponsors the club and has done so for the past dozen years. In accepting the plaque on behalf of the company, Dave had words of praise for the work the executive does in running the club and said Junior C hockey is "a worthwhile contri- _ bution to the commun- ity". ' THE AWARDS The players winning individual awards were selected by the coaching staff and team execu- tive. Todd Wilbur and Mike Ryan shared the MVP award; goalie Ken Har- man was named the best team players (he " hasn't missed a game or practise since putting on a MolJack sweater), defenseman Rob Malcolm received the nod as the most improved player; Scott Wallace and Mike Ryan shared the award for the best defensive player 'and blue-liner Rob Nicholson was named rookie of the year. As general manager Murray Parliament noted in his address, the season was a bit of a roller coaster affair with some highs and lows. After a quick start which saw the team in first place in November, things went a bit sour in the second half and the MoJacks wound up in fifth spot. Still, they ran up a record of 18 wins, five ties and 11 losses, which is more than respectable in any league. - MIE EEE) - - a. - | Scugog Youth Soccer Club SOCCER REGISTRATION LATCHAM CENTRE - PORT PERRY SAT., MARCH 31st SUN., APRIL 1st 10:00 AM. - REGISTRATION FEES: $25.00 per child or $45.00 per family. -. -- -- 5:00 P.M. a -- -_- a. - "SOCCER SHOE EXCHANGE" AVAILABLE DURING REGISTRATION.
