The UCW plans for a beef dinner on April 5th in Utica Hall are well underway and tickets - are available from my- self or Elizabeth Taylor. Coming events in Utica Hall this week are the special St. Patrick's euchre on Friday at 8 p.m. and on Saturday evening all the Irishmen will have their dancing shoes on for the country dancing to the music of the Country Ramblers. Judy MacSween has information on the dance for anyone interested. The Scugog Beautifi- cation Committee is looking for a represent- ative of this area to meet with their comm- ittee on March 21st from 7 to 9:30 pm. at the Railroadhouse Motel. Anyone interested, please contact Lillian Smith at 985-7512. Mrs. W. W. Scott of London visited with her mother, Mrs. Crosier on Saturday. . Mrs. Vera Taylor has arrived back home from her month long vacation with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bielby in Avon Park, Florida. While in Florida she met several people from Port Perry and Cedar Grove area and had a real nice visit. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Skelding visited on Sat- urday evening with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Lake in New- castle. Bob and Dorothy Aird of Port Perry were recent visitors with the Skeldings. Men served pancakes at successful supper Epsom Area News By Jean Jeffery Miss Ruth Taylor of had lunch on Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Taylor. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Ryall of Severn Falls were Saturday supper guests with Mr. and Mrs. Donald Asling. The pancake supper last Tuesday evening served at the church, by the men was a huge success. Beth and Douglas Wilson entertained Faye 'and Keith Ashton, Pat and Garry Johnstone, Jill and Gord Postma, Carol and Dennis Irvine with dinner on Friday evening. - Roy Wilson flew into Greenbank airport on Friday afternoon. His brother Earl met him there, and after visiting his mother and the rest of the family, he return- ed home on Saturday. Earl and Marie Wilson were guests for lunch on Sunday with his mother Mrs. J.P. Wilson of Uxbridge. Jill and Gord Postma were in Barrie Saturday evening to visit Donn and Steve Goldie. The School Advisory Committee for Green- bank and Epsom Public Schools invite you to at- tend a public meeting to discuss the P.B.S. plan (Convert, Build and Ser- vice). Norman and Betty Tapscott arrived home from a tour of California on Friday. They had a wonderful time. Michael and Jennifer Watson of Guelph are visiting their grand- parents Archie and Jen- nie Watson for the school break. Andrew and Nan- cy Watson of Guelph also Fred and Kathy Watson visited the Watson home over the weekend. Don't forget the pot- luck supper and social evening for Bethesda Reach W.I., March 24th at 6:30 p.m. Congratulations to Prince Albert Public School choir who won the Bethesda Reach Music Festival prize. Congratulations also to Janis Evans Epsom, and Marita Kersten of Utica who placed first in Grade 9 and 10 Physic Science Fair Project at Port Perry. Something is fishy The Durham Region Aquarium Society is pleased to announce its twelfth annual show. This year's show is being held on April 8, 1984 at the Ajax Comm- unity Centre, Centennial Rd., Ajax. The schedule of, events for the afternoon include an auction of tropical fish, supplies, and other hobby related items from 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The fish exhibit will be open to the public from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. There will be 39 exhibit class- es, including novelty, photography, and crafts and 31 different fish classes.
