On Sat. in Amherstview despite the ten minutes handed out in penalties to Port in the first fifteen minutes of play they still managed a 2 all tie before the completion of the period. Ernestown opened the scoring on a power play, after successfully killing the second penalty Cornish evened the scoring on a blistering shot from just inside the blueline with Harman assisting. Ernestown took a 2-1 lead at the 5:31 mark again on the power play, with 3:36 remaining Harman assisted by Cornish had the score in a 2 all tie. The opposition remained scoreless in the second due to some excellent back checking and hot goal tending from Mc- Connell. The Legion- aires jumped into a 4-2 lead with both goals scored by Cornish (hat trick) with Sorley and Mills assisting.
