Trip Enjoyed Helen Campbell, Nestleton and daughter- in-law Debbie flew to Calgary, Alta_, the first week of Dec, to spend a little time with Bruce and Karen Williamson, Chris and Heather- Helen's daughter and son-in-law and family. While there, they had a very enjoyable holiday with plenty to see and do. After a two weeks visit, Debbie returned home for Christmas and Helen spent a little more time in the West, having Christmas with the fami- ly before leaving for home, Dec. 28th. A busy, interesting, festive season getting about visiting Karen's friends and so forth. It was love- ly to be with them for the Yuletide season -- a first for them to hold the Christmas celebration Ladies Night The Blackstock and District (Cartwright) Lions Club entertained their wives to a Christmas dinner party in December - held at Crandell's Riverboat, Port Perry - a "'special" buffet had been arranged before the event. Dance Successful The Nestleton Recrea- tion committee had a very successful New Years eve dance held in the Community Centre with sixty couples shar- ing in this "special" merry-making event. Ir- win Smith of Port Perry supplied the excellent music -- a fine evening of dancing and sociabili- ty to "herald" in the New Year - 1984 - with enthusiasm. Mrs. Minnie Fisher, Caesarea, was a Christmas eve overnight guest with son Delton Fisher and wife Marge of West Hill -- and on Christmas Day they travelled to London and enjoyed the "festivities" with Barry Fisher and wife Frances, Leanne and Susan, at their love- ly home. Feasby-Rennie Uxbridge Baptist Church was the setting for the marriage of Sherri Elizabeth Feasby and John Douglas Rennie on September 10, 1983. Rev. Philip Brown officiated at the ceremony. The organist was Mrs. Fred Wilson and the pianist was Mrs. Dwight Wideman. The bride is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Morley Feasby of Port Perry and the bridegroom the only son of Mr. John Rennie of British Columbia and Mrs. Helen Rennie of Nova Scotia. Given in marriage by her parents, the bride looked radiant in a gown of organza trimmed in lace. The high neckline and bodice was also lace embroidered with seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of white car- nations and yellow roses. Jennifer Simmonds of Uxbridge, friend of the bride, was matron of honour, and the brides- maids were Susan Braid of Port Perry and Rita Varga of Toronto, soon to be sister-in-law of the bride. The flower girl was little Kristen 'Feasby, niece of the bride. The bridesmaids wore a soft yellow, while the matron of honour and the flower girl wore peach. Godgrey Thorogood of Georgetown, friend of the groom, was the best man. Ushers were John Duggan of Ottawa, friend of the groom and Bill Feasby of Toronto, brother of the bride. The ringbearer was Geoffrey Braid of Port Perry. The attendants were attired in dark brown tuxedos while the groom wore one of similar style in a light brown. Mike Phillipo, friend / / \. of the bride and groom, was soloist and Jennifer Stadelbauer friend of the bride and groom played her flute. Jenn- ifer also played at the reception held at the Curling Club in Ux- bridge, Marily and Jeff Goodhand sang several numbers, while Mr. David Simmonds, long- time friend of the brides family was Master of Ceremonies. Prior to their wedding the bride and groom were honoured at several showers given by friends and relatives. Guests were present from British Columbia, Nova Scotia, Mactier, Ottawa, Barrie, Toronto as well as the surround- ing areas.
