And, speaking of the Smiths over on Hurd St., Florence celebrated her 80th birthday on Thurs- day, Dec. 29th. Mr. and Mrs. Den- niston spent part of the week in Windsor with Roxie, then returned to bring in the New Year with Lloyd and Beth. Sunday guests at the Armstrongs were Mr. and Mrs. Don Armstrong and Debbie from Cobourg, Ontario. On Thursday, Dec. 29, a few tables of euchre were played at the Prince Albert Hall (very few 3!2). Ladies high was Pat Norton, second was Myrtle Gimblett and low was Gladys Slack. On the men's side high was Myrtle Alsop, se- cond was Ross Alsop and low was Carl Gimbletts In the lone hand series there was a tie between Mildred Thompson and Harold McDiarmid. Clarke's only sister, Mrs. Hilda Oake of Sidney, Nova Scotia. Hilda was buried on New Years Day. The Clarkes were unable to attend, because of Rev. Clarke's recent operation.
