In this tour- nament the petites were - divided into 2 pools. In our pool, we played teams from Ajax, Lind- say -and- Sunderland. The other pool had teams from Woodville, Oshawa, Whitby and Mariposa. On Friday night, the girls travelled to Little Britain arena to meet the Sunderland - petites in a closely fought end to end battle which saw Sunderland on top at the final whistle. All of the girls played well and all were skating and passing the ring well. This is prob- ably one of the most exciting games that will be seen throughout the Regionals. On Sat. Michelle Beare from Kelly scored the second goal. _This_goal earned Michelle the game ring as she has scored 50 goals this year. Con- gratulations ' Michelle! ! Lindsay came back to tie up the score before the end of the first period. In the second period Kelly from played very well for' both games today. Although we didn't make it to the finals all of the girls are to be congratulated for putt- ing forth: such a good 'effort all weekend long. Congratulations go to = Sunderland for beating Woodville in 'the final game and to Ajax for winhing the Sportsman- ship award.
