Scala Bros. had to pull out all the stops to extend the series. The first period was scoreless, mainly due to the efforts of both goaltenders as time and again they turned aside the shots. Scala Bros. opened the scoring in the second period when John Aylward scored unassisted on a good wrist shot. The score re- mained at one until ear- ly in the third period when Matt Durward scored unassisted for Lions Club. Try as they might neither team could score the winner, so the game ended 1-1, and forced a " third game held later i the day. © Lions Club - 3 Scala Bros. - 2 After having extended the series by way of the morning tie game, Scala Bros. had to have a win in the third game and so came out flying and took an early 2 goal lead.
